I was never a big fan of artists statements. Others like to know what you were thinking and how you got there. Occasionally I have an idea but prefer to randomly start by making marks and scribbly lines with pen and ink. I like ink because you can’t go back. I try not to make judgments or let an idea creep in too soon but inevitably a thing emerges and I follow it.
