"The primary subject I focus on is the urban setting and many components that form it. I have mainly been interested in the existence and placement of nature within the proximity of architecture and the co-existence of traditional and contemporary structures. People and movement are also part of the spectrum found in my artwork.

Featuring images of architectural design, signs, lighting, billboards, displays, people and plant-life, my works are usually presented in a photographic format. Most of the pictures are shot while in transit, traveling through cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, Bangkok and Hong Kong, often in and around train stations and airports. Some of the photos are clear, focused and very specific, while others are shot in motion, blurred and semi-representational. On a location I try to capture high contrast and vibrant color in order to produce rich and cinematic images.

The techniques being utilized are photography, screen-printing, vinyl application and large format inkjet. The materials used are paper, glass and acrylic sheets, backlit film, and metals. These mediums allow me to present a portion of my ideas as small installations. In an attempt to challenge the viewer and myself, I often choose an unusual or unconventional placement, primarily corners, of an exhibition space to display a site-specific piece. When creating individual pieces, the materials help to define their appearance as clean and almost factory-made. Some of the works incorporate backlighting, inspired by signage, and slight shadow for dramatic effect.

In the end, my artwork is about sharing personal journeys with the viewer and is a bit narrative and autobiographical. The works commentary and observations deal with the rapid development and pace in the metropolitan and the merger of some of the cultural aspects in the progressing world around us."
