All through history the element of fire has had both creative and destructive connotations, both possitive and negative reverberations. This body of work reflects the study of fire and light and its mysterious and illuminating nature. In the same way light casts shadows from objects it touches, much of the work relies on what is left out in the images, allowing the viewer to create the narrative in their own mind. The viewer is charged to answer their own questions regarding the story behind the work, and mold the images to fit their own thoughts surrounding the negative and possitive aspects of fire.
